Birthright by Nora Roberts
Book Number:RC 55869
3 sound cassettes
Ancient bones are uncovered at a construction site in Maryland and archaeologist Callie Dunbrook and her ex-husband are asked to investigate. When a local woman claims that Callie is her long-lost daughter--kidnapped twenty-nine years earlier--Callie must search for the truth. Strong language and some descriptions of sex. Bestseller. 2003.
This is a great book, what can one say about Nora Roberts? I love her eye for the detail on her subject. In this case it is archeology and anthropology. Between the story of the kidnapped baby, the discovery of the bones, the town being divided over a land preservation issue, there is murder, arson and a haunted pond. The search for birth parents, a black market for new born babies, and a few love interests make this a really great read. The twist at the end was a surprise. I give it a 5 out of 5.
Happy reading,
Carla/TexasRed

I also loved this book. It amazes me the amount of research Nora Roberts must have to do for some of her books.

I also read this one, and I liked ehr stuff as well. I wasn't sure I could get into her book especially this one, but wow she's great. Two more are red Lilly and blue Dahalia I know I screwed that one up the blue one comes first.
